Viral video licensing · Worldwide
Your clip went viral.
Get paid for it.
News desks, shows, and brands want to run your video — most creators never see a dime because nobody's chasing the deal. Matt Sowards Media handles licensing, clearance, and takedowns so the money lands where it belongs: with the person who filmed it.
The process
Three steps. Zero upfront cost.
You keep ownership of your video the whole way through. We only make money when you do.
Send the clip
Drop a link to your video in the form below — TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, X, raw file, anything. Tell us you filmed it. That's the whole application.
We work the wire
We verify the footage, clear the rights, and pitch it to newsrooms, TV shows, brands, and publishers. We also hunt down freebooters ripping your clip without paying.
You collect
Every license deal is money in your pocket. Clear reporting, no vague "exposure" talk — a revenue split spelled out in plain English before anything gets signed.
Two sides of the same wire
Creators cash in. Media stays covered.
You shot it. Own it.
- Non-exclusive by default — your video stays up on your channels, growing your audience.
- Freebooting enforcement — pages reposting your clip for clout either license it or take it down.
- No fee to submit — we take a cut of deals we close. No deal, you owe nothing.
- Creator-to-creator honesty — you'll always know who wants your clip and what they're paying.
Cleared. Fast.
- Verified footage — sourced from the original filmer with rights confirmed before you air it.
- Fast turnaround — breaking-news timelines are the job. Ask, get an answer same day.
- Flexible terms — single broadcast, digital, social cutdowns, or full buyouts.
- One point of contact — no chasing anonymous accounts through DMs at 2 AM.
Why Matt Sowards Media
Run by a creator, not a suit.
Most licensing agencies have never uploaded a video in their life. Matt Sowards has been on the creator side since 2011 — over a billion views across YouTube and beyond, plus music under Sorrow Sky, games under Ravesta Games, and a label in Total Damage Records. He's had his own work ripped, reposted, and monetized by strangers. That's exactly why this company exists.
"I've watched people make money off clips they didn't film for fifteen years. If your video is out there earning, you should be the one earning it." — Matt Sowards, FounderMore about Matt → matthewsowards.com

FAQ
Does it cost anything to submit my video?
No. Submitting is free, and there are no upfront fees ever. We earn a percentage of licensing deals we actually close for you — if nothing closes, you pay nothing.
Do I lose ownership of my clip?
No. You stay the owner. A license just gives an outlet permission to use it under agreed terms. Default deals are non-exclusive, so your video keeps living on your own channels.
My clip is already being reposted everywhere. Is it too late?
Not at all — that's usually the best time. Reposts prove demand. We can pursue the pages using it without permission and license it properly to outlets that pay.
What kind of clips get licensed?
Anything with genuine moment value: weather and storm footage, dashcam and close calls, animals, fails, wholesome surprises, gaming moments, local news events. If people stopped scrolling for it, someone probably wants to license it.
I'm a producer on deadline. How fast can you clear footage?
Same-day answers are the standard for breaking material. Use the form below, pick "license footage," and include your deadline — it goes straight to Matt's inbox.
